Job Title: Director, Operations & Supply Chain



Reports to: General Manager



Location: Philadelphia, PA







Position Summary



The Director, Operations & Supply Chain will be a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) & a back-up to the site General Manager. He/she will be fully accountable for all aspects of operations and supply chain, and will manage, organize and monitor the roles, responsibilities and activities related to Operations and Supply Chain.







The Role





+ Manage overall Operations & Supply Chain performance related to People, Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost (PSQDC) including but not limited to cGMP, GDP, Data Integrity and OSHA compliance.



+ Manage all aspects of people management, training and development.



+ Support and contribute to the site S&OP process. directs and monitors the activities and performance of all assigned Operations & Supply Chain personnel.



+ In support of Continuous Improvement, enforces the use of Lean Principles and measurements (Constraint Utilization, Constraint Productivity, Constraint Downtime, Buffer Management) to control and facilitate operations in all areas assigned.



+ Monitors the management of customer batch record operations in the production rooms, and ensures that data integrity, product integrity, customer satisfaction and timelines are met on a consistent basis by all staff. Also monitors the management of customer shipment order operations in the Distribution and ensures that supplies are shipped compliantly and on time to meet patient and customer needs.



+ Accountable for all aspects of Operational Compliance and proper execution of the Deviation Management Excellence (DME) process and procedures.



+ Owns specific duties related to management system programs, employee engagement, setting the right CULTURE and actions associated with the overall site EH&S program implementation.



+ Participates in support of Business Development and Customer Service through client visits, strategic client sponsorship, performance confirmation, communication and other as required









The Candidate





+ Bachelor of Science in a related field or equivalent experience. 10+ years managerial experience in a cGMP or FDA regulated manufacturing or production environment, with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing principles



+ Proven track record with people management and development.



+ Must have a People and Patient First mentality. Creating and driving the right culture and behaviors.



+ Experience with implementing and maintaining warehouse management systems



+ Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems



+ General knowledge and management experience of operational finances.
