We save lives! At our location here in Kansas City our Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician’s support clinical drug trial projects by packing and shipping life saving drugs. We are a growing team and looking for highly motivated individuals to eventually take on leadership roles on our production team!







The Pharmaceutical Packaging Technician II reports to the Packaging Supervisor and will be assigned tasks by Room Leads and Team Leads.







Schedule – Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm







The Role/Job Duties:





+ Able to work in a production environment packing and labeling clinical trial drug and materials.



+ Develop skills necessary to work with and clean all semi-automated and automated pieces of equipment.



+ Accurately review packaging batch records prior to packaging process to ensure processing instructions are followed in accordance with SOPs.



+ Prepare, complete and correct documentation following GDP and in compliance with SOPs and cGMP.



+ Inspect drug product, components and clinical labels for defects, blemishes or missing text prior to and during production.









The Candidate



Education and Experience:





+ High School degree or equivalent.



+ Packaging or manufacturing/operations experience preferred.









Knowledge/Skills Requirements:





+ Must be on time for work and meetings, start of shift, and return timely from all breaks from work.



+ Must be self-motivated and possess above average organizational skills and math and computer skills – Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, etc.



+ Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet competing workplace demands while maintaining the highest level of quality in all work performed.



+ Must be very detail-oriented!









Physical Requirements:





+ Stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, and reach with hands and arms for up to 8 - 10 hours per day.



+ Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds including stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and able to work with respirator (P100, PAPR, etc.).



+ Will be required to operate a manual pallet jack and may become licensed to operate the scissor lift, as needed.



+ Must be available to work overtime based on business needs.



+ 20/20 corrected vision and able to distinguish all colors.



+ Handling of controlled substance product – a background check and further DEA screening is required.



+ Position requires ability to spend extended periods of time in the following GMP environments:



+ Controlled Room Temperature 68 degrees F – 77 degrees F (15 degrees C – 25 degrees C)



+ Refrigerator 35 degrees F – 46 degrees F (2 degrees C – 8 degrees C)



+ Freezer -4 degrees F (-20 degrees C)



+ Highly active containment area (Potent Drug Facility) (respirator fit testing and pulmonary physical required)
