Regional Indirect Category Leader - Facilities Management







Position Summary







The Regional Indirect Category Leader - Facilities Management is responsible for strategically managing the Facilities Management category. This includes the development and implementation regional category strategy that enable execution of the company’s strategic initiatives. This role will analyze and understand regional multimillion dollar spend, act as a strategic partner to functional areas within the company to lead the development and achievement of all category goals (safety, quality, service, cost, payable terms, continuity of supply etc) including overall best value Procurement strategies.







The Regional Indirect Category Leader - Facilities Management will support to the Indirect Senior Procurement Manager for the Americas to develop and lead projects that deliver value to Catalent through cost savings, process improvement, supplier innovation, and supplier management, help gain competitor advantages and meet customer needs.







In concert with Catalent’s Patient First philosophy, this position is key in our efforts toward continuous improvement of our processes & information which will allow quality drug products to reach patients safely and efficiently.







The Role (daily responsibilities)







Strategy:





+ Develop and implement global/regional category strategies that creates value to Catalent and meets customer’s expectations.



+ Develop, negotiate and manage global contractual relationships.



+ Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with all strategic suppliers.



+ Develop Senior level relationships to better understand and align with business strategy and direction to prioritize initiatives and harmonize business and category strategies.



+ Serve as the subject matter expert for facilities management category and work closely with the suppliers to ensure a complete understanding of the global market.



+ Utilize analytics to enable effective procurement strategies to measure and improve supplier performance against key business objectives while reducing costs and increasing value, innovation and simplification.



+ Utilize various best practices to assure continuous improvements in quality, supply chain and service performance, and maximize the value to Catalent.









Financial Accountability:





+ Develops and executes Procurement initiatives for cost out



+ Implement and manage Year over Year cost savings and performance measurement systems for supplier contracts.



+ Lead cross-functional teams identifying executable actions and drive implementation plans and schedules.



+ Through a collaborative team coordinates and drives the RFP’s / RFI’s process for regional and site level initiatives. Invites key / core suppliers to provide solutions and cost proposals for Catalent business requirements, evaluates proposals, makes supplier recommendations, selects suppliers, awards business, and handles contracts for key stakeholders.



+ Leverages and negotiates pricing on combined volumes of purchases at various locations with industry leading suppliers to reduce the cost of goods and overheads. Prioritizes savings opportunities and takes a unified approach with our various purchasing locations in the region to meet with the potential suppliers and get the lowest possible total cost to deliver cost savings.



+ Negotiates and monitors goods prices & service contracts.



+ Communicates price changes and / or discrepancies and determines financial impact.



+ Optimizes cash by extending supplier payment terms and/or negotiating term discounts.









Operational Excellence:





+ Optimize the supply base through consolidation.



+ Get business secured with key vendors through supply agreements and commercial documentation (including CDA and code of conduct). Performs supplier risk assessment and develops mitigation plan.



+ Performs supplier risk assessment and develops mitigation plan.









Quality:





+ Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality assurance or quality control personnel, users, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.



+ Ensure Regulatory Compliance – CAPA actions are completed on time, zero critical matter on findings on Purchasing Controls.



+ Ensure that 100% Procurement, EHS, Quality and Compliance training is completed.









The Candidate (requirements)





+ BA/BS in Business, Finance, Engineering, Procurement or other Operations related field



+ 5-10+ years of strategic procurement experience; Global Operations, Finance and matrix management experience



+ Procurement Global or Regional Category Management



+ Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills



+ Extensive knowledge of procurement strategies, tactics, negotiation and contracting skills.



+ High personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standards.



+ Strong motivational and leadership qualities; well organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task.



+ Self-motivated, disciplined, focused, able to prioritize work



+ Determined to improve the overall throughput and financial goals of the organization.



+ Advanced PC skills (specifically Excel, Power Point & tools like the Dun & Bradstreet Supplier Risk Manager).



+ Able to bridge relationships with a variety of individuals and between various departments, sites, functions and levels of the organization.



+ Travel may be required.



+ Highly literate to terms relating to procurement and to Catalent.



+ Able to balance strong negotiation skills and shareholder needs with the need to develop strong relationships with our key suppliers.
