Position Summary







Catalent is looking to recruit a Scientist, Quality Control to join a growing team in Bloomington, In.







A Scientist, Quality Control duty is to provide quality control environmental monitoring, critical utility systems, in-process, finished products, stability, cleaning process, and analytical method validation testing according to SOPs, cGMPs and regulatory guidelines.







A Quality Control (QC) Scientist’s primary duty is to support testing for quality control environmental monitoring, critical utility systems, in-process, finished product, product stability, cleaning process, and analytical method validation according to SOPs, cGMP and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include preforming testing during the phases of production and execution of stability studies by independently utilizing instrumentation and methodologies such as HPLC, GC, UV, ICP-MS, FTIR, TOC, CE, ICE, Karl Fisher, Sterility Isolator, Plate Reader, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, IEF, ELISA, PCR, EM, Endotoxins, Bioburden, and Sterility. Other key responsibilities include the technical peer review of test data, authoring/revising technical documents including laboratory procedures, stability study protocols and technical reports, monitoring data with the ability to recognize atypical/out of trend/out of specification (OOS), evaluating large data sets and interpreting results, and perform investigation to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions.







In concert with Catalent’s Patient First philosophy, the QC Scientist position contributes to this philosophy by ensuring quality of stability data and that all data is consistent with expectations. This position is critical to the patient first philosophy because it confirms test results are within the required specifications.

The Candidate





+ Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience, including 2 years GMP experience OR



+ Master’s degree with 2-5 years of experience, including 1 year GMP experience OR



+ PhD with 0-2 years of experience, GMP experience preferred
