Senior Financial Analyst







The Senior Financial Analyst position will primarily support the Specialty Development & Delivery Solutions (SDDS) and Biologics business units in Kansas City, Missouri.







Position Summary







This person will be directly responsible for performing financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounting close, working capital maintenance, and financial systems interface.



He/she will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and providing on-site financial support to the site Finance team and the Operational Leaders of the SDDS and Biologics businesses.







The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director







Location: Kansas City, MO







In concert with Catalent’s Patient First philosophy, this position is key in our



efforts toward continuous improvement of our processes & information which will



allow quality drug products to reach patients safely and efficiently.







The Role (daily responsibilities)





+ Primary financial support of SDDS and Biologics business unit in Kansas City, Missouri (KCM)



+ Accounting lead for business units, including creation of journal entries for both income statement and balance sheet



+ Annual strategic planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and weekly outlook of revenue performance



+ Thorough understanding, interpretation, and implementation of KCM revenue recognition policy



+ Periodic evaluation and on-going maintenance of standard costs and cost assignment between business units







+ Provide actionable variance analysis of direct and indirect costs to enable decision making of site leadership



+ Provide support to internal and external audit reviews



+ Data gathering and research



+ Documentation of periodic controls testing







+ Ensure SOX related activities are conducted as documented, help coordinate changes as required, and work with corporate as required in the review and testing of SOX related processes; this includes working with both internal and external auditors



+ Assist with annual fixed asset and inventory process



+ Assisting the site’s General Manager and the Director of Finance in:



+ Establishing key performance measures



+ Providing actionable financial insight related to working capital and cash management



+ Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested













The Candidate (requirements)





+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus



+ 5-7 years progressive experience in the Finance/Accounting field



+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems, and financial controls. Cost Accounting experience preferred.



+ Outstanding time management skills; ability to establish and focus on key priorities.



+ Experience with an integrated ERP system required. Experience with Financial Software systems (JD Edwards), HFM, and large databases preferred.



+ Excellent communication & collaboration skills and ability to work with all level of operating and finance management



+ Expertise with Microsoft Excel required. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred.
