Supply Chain Material Manager







Position Summary











St. Petersburg is our primary Softgel development and manufacturing facility in North America with capacity of 18 billion capsules per year. Within the Catalent network, we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve difficult development and manufacturing challenges.







Our Supply Chain Material Manager will have the oversight for all procurement related activities associated with the facility. The overall inventory management ensuring proper safety stock levels are set and maintained to support production requirements and ensuring suppliers are provided PO’s and forecasts routinely and per supply agreements. Also executing tactical activities working through the Quality Organization with government agencies, such as the Drug Enforcement Agency, State of Florida, and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and eevelop supplier metrics which should include on time delivery and quality reviews routinely.

The Role





+ You will be responsible for the procurement aspects of the supply chain for the St. Petersburg Softgel Technologies Division, including supplier selection and management.



+ You will partner with finance on annual standard cost establishment, expense review/tracking, inventory aging, and in transit raw materials.



+ You will be responsible for all aspects of direct material demand planning, procurement and inventory management and supplier performance.



+ You will partner with Project Managers to ensure all material requirements for projects are covered.



+ Management of Production and Equipment Maintenance Parts and Inventory.



+ You will be working with the quality organization ensure compliance with State of Florida permitting requirements for inbound API’s and Controlled Substance reporting.



+ You will partner with Supplier Quality Management to ensure GMP Compliance, with the warehouse supervisor and their team to ensure accurate Inventory Control Functions are in place (Cycle Count Program, physical inventory, and procurement).



+ You are the primary customer contact regarding customer owned inventory requirements/reporting



+ Staff development/performance responsibilities for Materials Management team.













The Candidate









+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related filed preferred or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred but not required



+ 5-10 years of planning, procurement and inventory management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an MRP environment.



+ 5-10 years of management experience



+ APICS Certification preferred but not required.



+ Knowledge and expertise in cGMP, buffer management and process validation desirable.



+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access. Knowledge of Trackwise software is a plus;



+ Exemplary attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills;



+ Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
