**Description:**

**Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Chief Financial Officer to our Medical Group in Anchorage, AK.**

We are seeking a CFO to will provide strategic and financial leadership that will ensure the financial strength of the Providence Medical Group (PMG) within their assigned region. The **Chief Financial Officer, Providence Medical Group** will provide strategic and financial leadership in hopes of ensuring the financial strength of the Providence Medical Group (PMG) within their assigned region. The CFO provides leadership in developing short and long term strategic financial plans and new growth opportunities. This position has oversight responsibility for operational and financial performance, operating margin budgets, capital planning, revenue integrity optimization, and physician compensation. In addition, the leader is responsible for interacting and strategically planning the financial success throughout the regional and PMG executive leadership teams.

**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**

+ Oversee development and budget and integrated strategic financial plan for medical and physician groups including columns, revenues and expenses.

+ Review and report on monthly financial statements and variances for divisions. Identify opportunities and make recommendations for productivity improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancement initiatives.

+ Develop and maintain benchmarks for financial and operational performance.

+ Analyze and review monthly results for risk contracts against annual plans and forecasts.

+ May develop, propose and participates on negotiation teams as it relates to physician compensation arrangements.

+ May oversee timely and accurate implantation of physician compensation programs and arrangements and payments to physicians, responds to and addresses compensation questions and reporting's.

**Qualifications:**

**Required qualifications for this position include:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related degree.

+ 12 years of closely related experience.

+ 10 years in a leadership role or capacity.

+ Broad knowledge and understanding of the trends and changes taking place in health care.

+ Understanding of local integrated delivery systems of a large, multi-site health system.

**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**

+ Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related degree.

+ Certified Public Accountant.
