**Job Description**



The New Stanford Hospital

Stanford Health Care is adding more beds, private rooms, state-of-the-art operating suites, expanded emergency services and the flexibility the hospital needs to adapt to advancing technologies and more streamlined services.

The new Stanford Hospital will deliver a model of coordinated care that's built around the unique physical and emotional needs of each patient. Designed by the internationally recognized firm Rafael Vinoly Architects, the new 824,000-square-foot facility will feature amenities and services focused on the health and well-being of patients, as well as the most advanced diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical technologies. It will house an additional 368 beds, bringing the total to 600 on site, and the new Emergency Department will have twice the floor space of the current facility. The building will be connected to the current hospital by a bridge and tunnel.

The current hospital was constructed in 1959 and cannot be brought up to state-mandated seismic standards. The new hospital will feature natural light, rooftop gardens, and the latest innovations in green technology to reduce the hospital's environmental impact.



Full time position, variable shift (Pre op and PACU) 18 bed pre-op holding area, 20 bed PACU Phase I area, 8 bed PACU Phase II area, 12 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms. ASC's focus is on the surgical outpatient with an emphasis on ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology and Endoscopic GYN patients. The majority of patients have surgery and return home the same day or opt for a one-night stay; this unit also cares for surgical inpatients as well as ECT patients. ASC cares for adults and pediatric OPs. Looking for a candidate who is flexible and a team player. Background in PACU and or Critical Care Nursing with experience in a variety of clinical services such as GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT and GU.

**Qualifications**



Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education:

Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred

Experience:

Minimum 2 years ICU experience highly prefererred. PACU background preferred in addition to ICU experience.

Licensure/Certification:

Current California RN License Current American Heart Assoc Healthcare Provider BCLS certification and ACLS certification.

PALS recommended CPAN/CAPA preferred
