_*POSITION SUMMARY*_







Under immediate direction of Customer Service Manager, or senior customer service personnel, responds to and solves user problems and issues. Includes problem recognition, research, and isolation and resolution steps. Typically is able to resolve less complex problems immediately, while unresolved problems are escalated to appropriate resource. May involve use of problem management database and customer service systems.







_*EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS*_









* High School Diploma or GED required



* Associates Degree in Information Systems, Computer Sacience, or related field. 4 years of work experience considered in lieu of degree.









_*WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*_









* Knowledge of healthcare operations preferred. Organized, self-starter. Must be able to work independently.









_*LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS*_







No specific training or certifications are required. The following are preferred:









*  MS A+/SMS and XP remote service training



*  MCSE Server Administration



*  MCSE or CCNA network administration coursework



*  Basic Nortel training



*  Problem management software



*  Basic Tivoli









_*POSITION DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)*_







_CUSTOMER SUPPORT - 75%_









*  Perform customer service duties. Tasks may include:



*  User account administration



*  Remote desktop service



*  Remote server service



*  Remote network infrastructure service



*  Basic RAS/VPN/portal access service



*  Basic telecom service



*  Receiving and handling IT requests



*  Triage of service requests and problem severity



*  Data recovery



*  Office tool service



*  Application software service by knowledge base



*  User training & education









_ASSESSMENT & DESIGN - 15%_









* Analyze, design, and make recommendations to improve existing systems and/or methods, and provide written, detailed reports of such.



* Assess assigned areas for efficiencies and effectiveness. Evaluate alternative services and technology solutions on an ongoing basis and assures cost-effective solutions.









_PROJECTS - 10%_









* Maintain complete and up-to-date project documentation for all assigned projects.
