Job Title: Director - Continuous improvement, Oral Drug Delivery (ODD)



Reports to: Vice President Operations, Oral Drug Delivery (ODD)



Location: Any US location







Position Summary



Director, Continuous Improvement will define and manage a process for Best Practice Sharing across the ODD Network and with the rest of Catalent. Define and deploy a business unit process for multi-site improvement projects identification, evaluation, prioritization, execution (tracking, reporting) and define and manage a process to collect and transfer knowledge between sites. Jointly develop a process for Best Practices sharing the CI Directors of the other Business Units.







The Role





+ Be the program manager for the ODD Operational Excellence Roadmap. Facilitate an operating cadence for reviewing local and cross-site improvements initiatives and evaluating their financial impact. Ensure 100% alignment on project benefits with the local and corporate Finance Teams.







+ Manage the weekly ODD SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery and Cost) calls with the sites:



+ Make sure metrics are reported timely and consistently



+ Coordinate the pre-work before the calls (special topics of interest, etc.)



+ Lead the discussion during the calls and ensure the meeting rules are followed to maximize effectiveness of the calls











+ Coach and support the Continuous Improvement teams of the ODD sites in terms of:



+ Expert review and support to site projects



+ Training on Continuous Improvement tools and techniques



+ Give input to performance management











+ When required Support the ODD Leadership Team and the eXecution Leadership Team with deep dives, specific analysis, maturity assessment, etc. Lead, when necessary, specific improvement initiatives with a multi-site scope

The Candidate





+ Minimum 10 years’ experience in Operations and Continuous Improvement roles in complex manufacturing environments, preferably in a pharmaceutical/regulated work environment.



+ Bachelor of Science in Technical or Financial Disciplines. Advanced (MS or MBA) degree.



+ Substantial hands-on experience in managing operations



+ Demonstrated mastery of quality improvement methods such as LEAN, Six Sigma



+ Very good understanding of financial and business concepts



+ Experience working to regulatory standards: FDA, Good Engineering Practice (GEP), Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Good Documentation Procedures (GDP)
