Occasional travel to other sites to meet the needs of the clinic may be required.

*_Position Summary_*

Provide clerical/office support within a physician clinic, including, but not limited to reception, telephone, medical records, charge entry, referrals and retrieval of medical information from internal and external systems and sources.

*_Minimum Education Requirements_*

* High School Diploma or GED

*_Minimum Experience Requirements_*

* 2-year experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or health care setting

* Knowledge of billing and coding

* Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers

* Attention to detail

* Critical thinking and problem solving


* Certified Coder preferred

*_Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )_*

* Oversee clerical staff in accordance with Centura policies and procedures, work guidelines. Assist staff with development of performance goals and objectives. *

* Assist management team in conducting performance reviews and established quality of service standards. *

* Effectively manages office expenses. *

* Assists in preparing work schedules and in ensuring adequate staff for patient volume. Identifies and resolved office operational problems. *

* Responsible to partner with management team and human resources for recruiting, hiring, orienting and training new staff members. *

* Resolves problems, ensures compliance with medical regulations and office standards of quality patient care and customer service. *

* Assist in overseeing work environment, equipment and supplies at levels to assure quality patient and customer service. *

*_Physical Requirements_*

* Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently)
