**Providence is calling a Nurse Examiner (Per Diem, Night) to the Intervention Center at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.**

This position is within the Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse, which is the Snohomish County community sexual assault program and a crime victim service center. The Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse provides medical, advocacy and therapy services for victims of all ages who have experienced physical or sexual violence.

We are seeking a compassionate and caring RN to provide physical, forensic and emotional evaluation of physical and sexual assault patients without physician presence.

This position will fill a minimum of four, eight hour on-shifts per month and respond to four hospitals in Snohomish County.

**In this position you will:**

+ Provide safe, effective nursing care.

+ Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care needs for patients in a variety of care settings.

+ Demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

+ Perform medical forensic evaluation.

+ Complete mandatory reports to Child Protection Services, Adult Protection Services, and/or law enforcement within 48 hours and document according to protocol.

+ Respond to subpoena requests in a timely manner, participate in pre-trial preparatory and judicial interviews and/or depositions, and document interactions appropriately.

+ Be required to meet on shift requirements.

_requiring that all nurses be either BSN-prepared or achieve their BSN within five years of hire._

**Required qualifications for this position include:**

+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) - required within 5 years of hire

+ One (1) year direct patient care/acute care RN experience
