Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate FP&A







The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group provides budgeting, forecasting, reporting and ad hoc financial analysis to the CFO, business unit leadership, functional area leaders, and the Board of Directors with the intent to help with the business development and decision-making process.







Position Summary







The Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate FP&A will work closely with the Director, FP&A on financial analysis, decision making support, monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecast reporting. Additionally, this role will support the Director, FP&A with various presentations and ad hoc analysis on an as needed basis.







The Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate FP&A will report to the Director, FP&A.







Location: Somerset, New Jersey







In concert with Catalent’s Patient First philosophy, this position is key in our



efforts toward continuous improvement of our processes & information which will



allow quality drug products to reach patients safely and efficiently.







The Role (daily responsibilities)







Provide financial analysis and financial planning for various functions. The role provides financial visibility to anticipate any risk and opportunities within functional base cost areas.





+ Support the Director, FP&A in performing budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial/operational analysis related to base cost management, headcount control, and operational performance



+ Assist with the budget process including: creating budget templates, creating and maintaining budget roll-up files, preparing budget deliverables



+ Perform monthly review of results and provide analysis of budget vs. actuals (BVA) and forecasted expectations for functional leaders



+ Supports the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting of various functions within the organization



+ Support Director, FP&A in the preparation of presentations to members of the Executive Leadership Team for business reviews as well as forecast and budget review meetings



+ Support adhoc requests as required by management









The Candidate (requirements)





+ BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, or related business field.



+ 3+ years overall finance experience



+ Budgeting and financial analysis experience preferred



+ Hyperion, JDE, and Business Objects experience a plus



+ Strong organizational, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills



+ Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships



+ Financial and business acumen



+ Team building and interpersonal skills



+ Management of multiple priorities



+ “Self-Starter” working with enthusiasm to manage responsibilities with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment; desire to grow



+ Strong systems aptitude and advanced computer skills, especially with Excel (macros / VBA / array formulas) but also with other Windows products (PowerPoint and Word)
