*_Position Summary_*







This position works under general direction of the Payroll Manager to review and process complex calculations for wages of all Centura associates and prepares tax and executive benefit payouts on a bi-weekly basis. Position will be responsible for providing reports requested by the payroll manager as well as all departments within the Centura network. May also answer calls from associates regarding questions about their paycheck, taxes, deductions and benefits. Responsible for ensuring highest standards of customer service is met by all payroll team members and payroll adjustments are provided in a timely manner.







*_Education Requirements_*









* High School Diploma/GED



* Some college is preferable or previous experience in the payroll function









*_Work Experience Requirements_*









* 5-8 years of payroll experience



* Advanced understanding of Wage/Hour/Labor policies



* Advanced understanding of Kronos or a similar timekeeping product



* Lawson payroll experience is preferred



* Advanced understanding of payroll tax laws

*_Position Duties (Essential Function, Include % of Time)_*







_Processing – 50%_









* Responsible for reviewing and auditing executive payroll information before and after each bi-weekly processing



* Data entry of miscellaneous employee information (i.e. Fringe benefits, car allowance, LOA’s, religious, housing, etc.)



* Perform research as necessary to provide employees with information on time entry, PTO/EIB balances, past wage history, etc.



* Responsible for calculating, auditing and creating wire transfers for the OrthoCO and Centura tax liabilities on a bi-weekly basis



* Handles all new vendor set ups for garnishments and child support orders in Lawson



* Data entry of all military pay



* Responsible for reviewing manual check calculations received from payroll admin to ensure accuracy prior to manual check being issued



* Provides reports as needed for HR, Finance, Managers, CHPG, Auditors and Benefits



* Involved with year-end procedures and audits



* Assists payroll manager in educating and coordinating the payroll team in conflict resolution, assignment of duties and scheduling of workload.









_CUSTOMER SERVICE – 50%_









* Performs as backup to payroll manager whenever they are out of the office or on PTO



* Answering helpline calls from employees and managers



* Researching / resolving issues regarding employee paychecks



* Assists managers / supervisors on how to complete payroll documentation



* Special projects as assigned by the payroll manager or director



* Assists payroll manager with communications to the facilities and managers regarding process changes, new procedures, policies and payroll contacts



* Providing backup assistance to the payroll manager when she is on PTO or out of the office – will be responsible for directing the payroll team during these times to ensure highest level of customer service is still provided
